Overview

Assist in the development of health-related projects and data visualization reports for the Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in the development of health-related projects for the Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH).
  • Develop Power BI reports and other data visualization reports of health-related data.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of the latest health policy developments relevant for DHMOSH.
  • Assist in preparing official documents; whilst ensuring grammar, content and formatting are accurate.
  • Conduct research, including document, medical and psychosocial policies, and internet searches.
  • Assist with reporting, drafting, and editing of content for print, web and multimedia.
  • Assist in organizing special events and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualification Requirements
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's level or equivalent);
  • Have graduated with a university degree (secondary or first level);
  • Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter;
  • Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage. An orientation in statistical data analytics is desirable. Public Health or Data Management background is desirable. Risk/Crisis management and/or Emergency Care background is desirable.

Contract Duration: 3-6 months

Work Modality: In person in New York or remote. Full time or part time would be considered.

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
