Overview

The intern will support workstreams related to donor intelligence, landscape analysis, pipeline development, resource mobilization, proposal development, and partnership engagement.

Tasks Summary
  • Support targeted donor and partner research.
  • Support donor mapping.
  • Maintain and update a corporate funding pipeline.
  • Produce concise donor briefs and opportunity notes.
  • Support preparation for donor outreach and engagement.
  • Prepare meeting briefs, background notes, and tailored talking points for donor engagements.
  • Support analysis of financing modalities.
  • Help articulate UNTB “investment cases”.
  • Support drafting and editing of concept notes, proposals, and pitch decks.
  • Help ensure consistency with UNTB strategic priorities, messaging, and partner requirements.
  • Prepare meeting briefs, talking points, and follow-up notes for partner interactions.
  • Support coordination of internal inputs across technical teams for partnership and fundraising packages.
  • Assist with maintaining partner contact lists and documenting engagement history.
Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study in international development, economics, public policy, finance, international relations, or related fields is required. Demonstrated interest in development finance, resource mobilization, partnerships, and/or STI for sustainable development is required.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the French or another United Nations official language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 3 months

Work Modality: Remote

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
