The intern will support the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in its mission to protect human rights. Responsibilities include assisting with the mainstreaming of work on National Human Rights Institutions and supporting various initiatives related to human rights mechanisms.
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Languages Required: Fluency in English or French is required.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French or English is an asset. Knowledge of another United Nations official language would be an advantage (i.e. Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Modality: In-Person
Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
