Overview
Manages supply and related service issues for the field mission, overseeing warehouse operations and coordinating supply support to meet customer needs.
Tasks Summary
- Manages supply and related service issues in receiving, inspecting, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and disposing of materials.
- Formulates and oversees overall supply support and supplies required by the field mission.
- Coordinates with senior management to establish priorities and develop warehousing material delivery plans.
- Facilitates stock level visibility for stakeholders during budget preparation, acquisition, and distribution.
- Develops strategy for receiving goods and coordinates timely issuance, delivery, and return.
- Establishes systems for inventory accuracy, including counts, discrepancy resolution, and ERP recording.
- Coordinates with Technical Sections to establish and adjust supply/demand plans.
- Initiates and oversees periodic reviews of policies and practices in warehouse operations.
- Liaises with the Mission Contract Management Unit/Compliance Management Section.
- Supports the Chief Centralized Warehousing in developing business plans and monitoring work plans.
- Develops, trains, and monitors personnel performance within the Unit.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the development, planning, management and support of international commercial operations, military or field operations is required.
- Experience in logistics or operations management is required.
- At least two (2) years of recent experience in a supervisory role in warehousing or supply chain execution within the last five years is required.
- Experience in deploying data analytics to enhance the effectiveness/efficiency of warehouse operations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, supply chain management, public administration, law, engineering or related field such as operations management, logistics, industrial engineering is required.
- A first level university degree with a combination of two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
