Overview
The Communications Intern will provide support to the SHF communications function, with a focus on digital communications, assisting in coordinating and implementing communications plans and contributing to content creation and visibility efforts.
Tasks Summary
- Support the development of engaging content for social media platforms.
- Contribute to periodic reporting on digital activities and online presence.
- Assist in the management and updating of website content.
- Support the production of publications, including graphic design, layout, and translation coordination.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of planning tools for communications initiatives.
- Organize and maintain audio-visual assets and support the development of new multimedia materials.
- Assist in the development of communication materials and partner pitches.
- Provide general support to the Communications team across ongoing projects and activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and preparing briefing notes.
Experience Requirements
- While no prior work experience is required, the following experience will be an asset:
- Experience in managing or supporting social media for an organisation, initiative, or campaign.
- Experience with content creation, website management, or graphic design.
- Familiarity with basic content planning and scheduling tools, and image editing tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Canva, Descript, Adobe Express).
- Experience in international development, water, sanitation, menstrual health.
Qualification Requirements
• Currently enrolled in, or having recently completed (within the last three years), a university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Digital Communication, Advertising, Graphic Design, Audiovisual Production or a related field.
