Overview
Support UNOPS EAPMCO by assisting with business planning, performance monitoring (KPIs), and process improvements. Key responsibilities include data analysis, meeting coordination, and acting as a focal point for Generative AI initiatives.
Tasks Summary
- Support the Annual Business planning exercise by compiling data and various analytical reports.
- Conduct analyses and/or prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinate and follow up on the completion of various crosscutting exercises.
- Organise periodic and ad-hoc SSU All Staff Meetings.
- Organise periodic and ad-hoc meetings for SSU Management Team and act as the team’s Secretariat.
- Act as the SSU focal point for liaising with the Office of the Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Region (ORD).
- Prepare a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring report quarterly.
- Organize meetings with heads of business streams within SSU to discuss KPI assessment results and formulate back-on-track action plans.
- Follow up with responsible personnel in SSU on the implementation of KPI back-on-track actions.
- Liaise with the Finance Business Stream personnel on various matters related to the performance of Administrative Budgets.
- Contribute towards the achievement of defined objectives by studying and assessing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct research on various operations management matters and make recommendations to the management of SSU.
- Act as the focal point for various improvement initiatives, including all Generative AI initiatives.
- Act as the Compliance focal point in SSU, working closely with the MCO Compliance team.
- Coordinate compliance tasks within the SSU, including following up on the completion of rectification action plans.
Experience Requirements
- Significant exposure to MS Excel/Google Sheet application is mandatory.
- Experience working or volunteering in the field of project or programme management, finance or accounting is desirable.
- Ability to work in an international/ multicultural environment is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum First level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), or be enrolled in a postgraduate program or have graduated from such studies within three (3) years prior to the start date of the intern assignment.
- Areas of study should relate to Business Administration/Management/Studies, Commerce, Financial Accounting, Management Finance, Economics, or any other related field.
