Overview
The Senior Legal Assistant assists the supervisor in preparing legal analysis for protection responses and contributes to the involvement of persons of concern in decisions affecting them. The role supports the involvement of communities and authorities in continuous cooperation.
Tasks Summary
- - Assist in monitoring legal acts and judicial practice.
- - Contribute to legal analysis and review.
- - Contribute to the preparation of legal advice and draft position papers.
- - Draft correspondence and other documents.
- - Cooperate with partner NGOs and stakeholders.
- - Participate in meetings within UNHCR and with external counterparts.
- - Support risk identification and management.
- - Perform other related duties.
Experience Requirements
2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
- Certificates and/or Licenses: Law; Post-Sec Training Certificat; Human Rights.
