Overview
The Programme Assistant (Data & Research) will support data collection, cleaning, verification, and dissemination activities, contributing to the preparation of regular reports and research outputs.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in the implementation of data collection and research activities.
- Support the preparation of data collection tools.
- Conduct data entry, cleaning, and verification.
- Assist in compiling, organizing, and summarizing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Support the preparation of data tables, basic charts, and summaries.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for field data collection missions and enumerator trainings.
- Support liaison with internal units and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of service requests, purchase orders, and travel arrangements.
- Retrieve, compile, and summarize information on specific project topics.
- Assist in drafting sections of reports, briefing notes, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Experience Requirements
- High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in supporting coordination with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Experience working with migrants, displaced populations, or other vulnerable groups.
- Experience in data entry, data cleaning, and basic analysis is an advantage.
- Prior experience with data collection tools (Kobo, ODK) is desirable.
- Previous experience in international or humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
