Overview

The post holder is responsible for all procurement of goods and services, warehousing, transportation of goods and people, vehicle fleet management, and general logistics support. The role also involves localizing and adapting policies and contributing to country strategies.

Tasks Summary
  • Contributes to daily operations with comprehensive knowledge in logistics and procurement.
  • Leads coordination with program staff for logistics & procurement involvement in the program cycle.
  • Ensures DRC/donor rules and policies are understood and respected.
  • Provides technical support to country supply chain teams.
  • Ensures procurement policies and procedures are followed.
  • Establishes and follows up annual procurement plans.
  • Supports procurement of goods and services in line with DRC and Donor Guidelines.
  • Tracks orders, purchases, and deliveries.
  • Oversees contract agreements related to procurement.
  • Optimizes logistics operations for cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensures DRC supplier due diligence is used effectively.
  • Ensures effective fleet management of DRC Fleet.
  • Explores alternative fleet modality and transport arrangements.
  • Ensures implementation of effective oversight on Assets Management processes.
  • Provides technical support and guidance on warehouse and stores management.
  • Ensures appropriate health and safety, contract management, and repairs/maintenance at DRC premises.
  • Represents DRC in Logistics coordination groups.
  • Takes a lead in collaboration with supply chain working groups/clusters.
  • Provides expert advice and support to set strategy and assure operational quality and compliance.
  • Takes a lead and contributes to designing and enforcing Partnership management tools for Supply Chain Management.
  • Contributes to partnership assessment and mapping.
  • Provides technical support and capacity development training for local partners.
  • Carries out additional duties as requested by the line manager.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar position.
  • Working experience from an international humanitarian organization.
  • A good understanding of the procurement rules and regulations of major international donors.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working in multiple regulatory and compliance environment.
  • Previous experience in Partnership Management and Capacity building.
Qualification Requirements

• Master's degree in e.g. Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management

Other Details

Languages Required: • Full professional proficiency in English

Languages Preferred: • Proficiency in Arabic is a distinct advantage

Contract Duration: • till end of Dec 2026 with possibility of extension
