INTERN - ECONOMIC AFFAIRS

Overview

This internship provides research support, assists in project implementation, and contributes to the development of digital platforms and multi-media content within the Space Applications Section.

Tasks Summary

• Access and download data from key databases on financial markets and financial instruments
• Apply economic theory and quantitative analysis at the intersection of geospatial and time series financial data in relation to thematic areas of space applications
• Contribute to drafting of reports and papers on space applications
• Assist in developing and/or updating digital platforms and multi-media content
• Support the team in their day-to-day activities and tasks

Experience Requirements

• Application of economic theory and empirical research
• Development of software in relation to time series and geospatial data

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
• Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent)

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in spoken and written English is required

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset

Contract Duration: 4 months

Work Modality: Onsite/Remote

Remuneration: • The internship is UNPAID • Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions
