UNSGSA intern

Overview

The UNSGSA intern will assist in planning and implementing high-level advocacy initiatives related to financial health and support office management and operations.

Tasks Summary

• Provide research and analytical support on financial health topics.
• Develop case studies on product design for consumer financial health.
• Draft background papers, briefing notes, research, and analysis.
• Support the organization of high-level meetings and country visits.
• Attend relevant UN meetings.
• Coordinate meetings with stakeholders and prepare meeting notes.
• Provide general office logistical and administrative support.
• Assist with stakeholder outreach.
• Provide administrative support for office documentation and communications.
• Support other ad hoc activities as needed.

Experience Requirements

• Knowledge in international relations and international development, financial inclusion and financial health, and multilateral organizations.
• Prior relevant research experience is desirable, particularly in financial health, financial inclusion, economic policy and international development policy.
• Experience working in the private sector with a financial service provider (bank, fintech, credit union, or microfinance institution) is an asset.
• Experience working with high-level stakeholders, such as government officials and representatives from international organizations, is an asset.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree; or have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a Master’s degree or equivalent studies.
• Field of study: International Relations, Economics, Finance, Political Science, International Development, Business Management, or equivalent.

Remuneration: • Stipend in the amount of USD 1,000 per month for full-time work
