Overview

Internship supporting the BIOFIN global team in technical, management, and communication activities, with a focus on research, analysis, content creation, and event organization. The role also involves assisting the BES-Net team remotely.

Tasks Summary
  • Support research, collection, analysis, and presentation of BIOFIN Impact for case studies.
  • Develop the Finance Solutions Catalogue and assist in designing and implementing communication campaigns.
  • Contribute to a Comms and KM Toolkit for BIOFIN Countries.
  • Support the organization of events, webinars, and meetings, and maintain meeting documentation.
  • Assist in boosting BIOFIN's social media presence and maintaining media accounts.
  • Support the development of BIOFIN knowledge products.
  • Monitor, analyze, and synthesize BIOFIN developments and maintain a news coverage database.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes.
  • Support the development of stories highlighting synergies between BES-Net and BIOFIN.
  • Assist in compiling content for monthly newsletters.
  • Contribute to articles and the partner/expert series.
  • Support the collection of information on BES Solution Fund implementation.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities between BIOFIN and BES-Net in relevant country offices.
Experience Requirements
  • Previous related work experience in a national or an international entity would be an asset.
  • Understanding of social media platforms with a creator / advocacy mindset.
  • Experience with content creation platforms such as Canva.
  • Experience in related finance area is an asset.
  • Experience in biodiversity, conservation, ecosystems, and environment related areas is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher) in fields such as Finance, Economics, Communications, Social Studies, Environmental or related Studies.
  • Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in fields such as Finance, Economics, Communications, Social Studies, Environmental or related Studies.
  • Recently graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and must start the internship within one-year of graduation.
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of French is highly desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: Home-based

Remuneration: • UNDP may provide a stipend in monthly in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP Internship policy.
