Overview
The Country Office Administration Support Specialist provides administrative coordination and support to Subregional Offices and Country Offices to ensure the timely coordination, documentation, monitoring, and follow-up of administrative processes.
Tasks Summary
- Provide advisory support on FAO administrative, financial and operational rules, procedures and best practices.
- Support the development, review and standardization of administrative tools, workflows, templates and internal guidance.
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards and management briefs on administrative performance.
- Ensure timely delivery of necessary inputs and implementation of activities consistent with project work plans.
- Coordinate administratively with procurement, logistics, and other relevant units.
- Participate in team planning meetings and provide administrative inputs.
- Coordinate with Operations staff on day-to-day operational aspects of emergency response projects.
- Support the administrative updating and tracking of progress of Admin plans.
- Regularly monitor and update administration budget expenditures and available resources.
- Participate in administrative activities and report preparation as assigned.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and relevant briefings.
- Support the administrative processing, tracking, and follow-up of implementation of Letters of Agreements.
Experience Requirements
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in administrative support, financial record management, or related office administration functions.
Qualification Requirements
- For Consultants: Advanced university degree in management, business administration, accounting or related field.
- For PSAs: University degree in management, business administration, accounting or related field.
- Consultants with a bachelor's degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.
