INTERN - Video Production and Editing

Overview

Support the development of video-based and other graphic design instructional products for operational training programmes by producing, managing, and editing video content and designing graphic assets.

Tasks Summary

• Produce, manage and edit video content using Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere.
• Design graphic assets for training and learning products using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Collaborate with instructional designers and clients to develop video scripts and concepts.
• Create animated assets for short videos and motion graphics.
• Develop graphic and video materials to support communications products, as required.
• Perform additional duties, as needed.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
• Be enrolled in, or have completed, the FINAL academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
• Preference will be given to applicants with a strong background in video post-production using Final Cut Pro and/or digital communications using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro).

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required (UN Level II)

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of French (UN Level I) is desirable. • Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 3-6 months

Work Modality: In person in New York or remote, full-time or part-time modalities would be considered.

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
