Provide Maritime Engineering technical assistance and training across countries in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea region to enhance maritime security and marine crime detection.
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminal justice, criminology, law, political science, management or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted. Formal qualifications or certifications from a recognised national or international customs authority, police academy, or military-training institution, supplemented by specialization in criminal justice, crime prevention, or law enforcement, in combination with four (4) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted.
Languages Required: Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Contract Duration: 1 Apr-31 Jul 2026
Work Modality: Home-based with travel to Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia (Addis Ababa and Bishoftu), Kenya (Nairobi and Mombasa), Pakistan, Somalia (Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Berbera, Garowe and Bossaso), Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen.
