Overview
The Local Mobiliser will support the implementation of the programme and its activities, promoting community participation and engagement.
Tasks Summary
- Promote the participation and engagement of people living in the community.
- Support the organization and holding of meetings, workshops, assemblies, and other spaces for social participation in the community.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate project information to the community.
- Promote active community participation in decision-making and project implementation.
- Publicize the programme in the communities.
- Attend project meetings whenever called upon.
- Participate in local meetings as requested.
- Ensure that the technical activities are aligned with the quality expectations of the Agency and the counterparts.
- Perform other duties which may be requested by the supervisor.
- Elaborate and deliver a Monthly Activity Report in a timely manner.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in social mobilization activities, or social work in slums and urban communities, work in community organization, and related areas in Brazil is required.
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• High School diploma is required, or additional two (2) years of relevant technical experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
