Overview
The Resident Coordinator system is seeking a Digital Communications Individual Contractor to assist in generating and delivering compelling content for social media and digital platforms, focusing on tackling misinformation and hate speech, UN Days, international campaigns, and UN Country Team events. The role also involves supporting translation of requested information.
Tasks Summary
- Develop and implement a digital communications plan/outreach strategy.
- Manage the Resident Coordinator's Office online presence on social media.
- Contribute to strategic communications planning and processes.
- Translate press releases, posts, and messages into Russian and Turkmen languages.
- Support the maintenance of web and social media channels and deepen engagement.
- Assist in maintaining the UN Turkmenistan website.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience using social media for business in the public or private sector.
- Proficient knowledge of social media networks including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Experience with new media executions.
- Experience with graphic design and creating designs for digital media purposes.
- Experience developing compelling content to generate response from audiences online is desirable.
- Experience in visualizing qualitative and quantitative analytics, understanding of Google analytics is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, international relations, or a related area is required.
