Overview
The Local Mobiliser will support the implementation of UN-Habitat projects in partnership with the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, promoting community participation and engagement.
Tasks Summary
- Promote the participation and engagement of people living in the community.
- Support the organisation and holding of meetings, workshops, assemblies and other spaces for social participation.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate project information to the community.
- Promote active community participation in decision-making and project implementation.
- Publicise the programme in the communities.
- Attend project meetings and local meetings as requested.
- Ensure technical activities are aligned with quality expectations.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
- Elaboration and delivery of a Monthly Activity Report.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the above-mentioned fields of work is required.
- Experience in data collection, preferably in public projects and in vulnerable communities in Rio de Janeiro is required.
- Experience in the social area and in coordinating fieldwork, preferably in the public sector and in vulnerable areas, is desirable.
- Previous experience working in the United Nations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• Secondary school or additional two (2) years of relevant technical experience to the post, beyond the requirement.
