Overview
The role involves designing and delivering adaptive social protection (ASP) training programs and materials for social protection officers and stakeholders in Uzbekistan.
Tasks Summary
- Lead the design and structuring of a 3-day ASP training programme, including expected learning outcomes, session plans, learning facilitation guidance, training and distribution materials.
- Ensure coverage of specific modules within the training programme.
- Ensure realization of learning outcomes through effective delivery using participatory learning techniques and interactive methods.
- Ensure training materials draw from international best practices, provide gender and disability inclusion, and contain relevant information on various vulnerable groups.
- Provide smooth integration of inputs from national consultants and stakeholders.
- Ensure training materials contain pre- and post-training evaluations and feedback collection tools.
- Provide technical review of all training materials in English and coordinate review of Uzbek versions.
- Present draft training materials to ToT participants and technical groups and incorporate feedback.
- Co-facilitate the ToT for master trainers, including a module on interactive teaching methods.
- Support national trainers in delivering roll-out trainings to various participant groups.
- Provide coaching and real-time quality assurance to master trainers and national trainers.
- Undertake trainings for national consultants on training modules and materials.
- Prepare short technical notes summarizing ToT outcomes, training delivery quality, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the consolidated training completion report, including lessons learned and improvement actions.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in social protection policy/programming, with demonstrated expertise in adaptive/shock-responsive social protection.
- Proven experience designing and delivering national-level capacity building programmes and Training-of-Trainers (ToT).
- Strong facilitation skills using participatory methods and ability to tailor complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with governments and development partners in similar contexts is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in social policy, public policy, economics, climate adaptation/DRR, or related fields.
