Overview
Provides support to the Programme Management Specialist in resource mobilization, programme management, stakeholder coordination, and knowledge management for the UNMAS programme in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Tasks Summary
- Support the monitoring of humanitarian and development trends and compile background information and data.
- Assist in preparing inputs and documentation for implementation work plans.
- Support preparation of documentation related to new project concepts.
- Provide information and support in the drafting and preparation of programme documents.
- Provide administrative and coordination support during the processing of funding agreements.
- Maintain tracking tools related to funding agreement requirements and compile compliance information.
- Update monitoring trackers and compile data on delivery against agreed targets.
- Track programme results against targets, alert relevant management if delivery is not on track, compile data and draft reports.
- Coordinate information flow between implementation teams and headquarters.
- Promote the importance of gender mainstreaming in project implementation and support reporting on relevant gender-related indicators.
- Prepare, and provide editing support for, high quality summary and analytical reports.
- As needed, support the development of communications products and external publications.
- Prepare, review and provide editing support for Arabic translations of external publications.
- Prepare written summaries of meetings/visits and ensure relevant team members implement follow-up actions.
- Coordinate communications between the Country Programme office and the headquarters Programme, Portfolio Management, and Risk, Quality and Partnership teams.
- Support coordination and communication with UN, international organizations, donors, governments, and mine action stakeholders.
- Support preparation for coordination meetings, including drafting materials and recording meeting notes.
- Support design, coordination and dissemination of public information products and communication activities.
- Support preparations for official meetings, events, briefings, and field visits, and prepare talking points, briefing notes, presentations and speeches.
- Maintain records of programme files and other necessary programme documents.
- Contribute to the implementation of the relevant standards, tools and templates to effectively manage programme development and implementation.
- Contribute to, record and share the ongoing development and implementation of best practice, lessons identified, and innovative approaches.
- Contribute to the management and upkeep of risk management and issue management logs and processes.
- Carry out any other related duties as needed.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
- Relevant experience is defined as experience in programme/project development, support, or management, in either public or private sector organizations.
- Desired experience in coordination, partnership, donor reporting, managing donor agreements, or preparing project proposals is desired.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of project implementation is desired.
Qualification Requirements
• First level University degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) is required.
