Overview

Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of outreach activities in migrant communities. Identify and refer migrants interested in IOM’s services, including Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR) assistance.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of outreach activities.
  • Identify and refer migrants interested in IOM’s services.
  • Arrange meetings with Embassies, community leaders, and migrant groups.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Supervise Outreach team members.
  • Support staff development.
  • Monitor the Community Mobilizer mechanism.
  • Provide operational feedback.
  • Apply protection principles.
  • Draft and disseminate information materials.
  • Safeguard confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of documentation.
  • Adhere to core protection principles and PSEA policies.
Experience Requirements
  • Four years of relevant experience with a university degree, or six years of relevant experience with a school diploma.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in community-based protection and outreach activities.
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans.
  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving attitude and skills.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing response plans.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completed university degree from an accredited academic institution in Political or Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Work, Human Rights, International Relations or Law, or other relevant field, or
  • School diploma.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French is considered an advantage.

Contract Duration: Up to 9 months
