Overview
The consultant will provide technical advice on public health matters, focusing on strengthening cooperation on migration management and improving public health and environmental surveillance in southern Algeria.
Tasks Summary
- Coordinate with MoH, regional health authorities, WHO and other partners to align outreach activities with national health priorities.
- Liaise with MOH to receive confirmation of specifications for mobile lab and related equipment purchase.
- Initiate and follow up the procurement process for the mobile lab and related equipment.
- Conduct 1 workshop on migrant access to healthcare services.
- Develop SOPs for referral, reporting, and emergency response.
- Coordinate the completion of the purchase process for mobile laboratory equipment.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive training program to 50 local operators on laboratory procedures, biosafety, quality control, psychosocially informed care, and data management.
Experience Requirements
At least 7 years of experience in public health program implementation, preferably in mobile health services, infectious disease surveillance, laboratory system strengthening, or humanitarian/migration health contexts. Experience working with health ministries or UN agencies.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelors or Equivalent
