Overview

Internship supporting a data model modernization initiative to improve the structure, clarity, and long-term maintainability of an existing information model or ontology.

Tasks Summary
  • Analyzing the current model to identify semantic gaps, structural limitations, and dependencies on specific system implementations.
  • Proposing improvements to enhance consistency, modularity, and reusability.
  • Redesigning core entities, relationships, and attributes using modern data-centric and object-based design principles.
  • Decoupling the conceptual model from platform-specific constraints.
  • Prototyping redesigned components and validating them against representative operational or analytical scenarios.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing data pipelines and data stores.
  • Performing administrative tasks to provide accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data.
  • Establishing, modifying or maintaining simple data structures and associated components.
Experience Requirements
  • Business modelling: Understands the purpose and benefits of modelling. Uses established techniques, as directed, to model simple subject areas with clearly-defined boundaries. May assist in more complex modelling activities. Develops models under the guidance of subject matter experts.
  • Data engineering: Assist in developing and implementing data pipelines and data stores. Performs administrative tasks to provide accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data.
  • Data modelling and design: Establishes, modifies or maintains simple data structures and associated components. Uses specific data modelling and design techniques under guidance.
Qualification Requirements

• Currently studying towards a university-level degree or have recently graduated in the past 12 months.

Other Details

Languages Required: A thorough knowledge of one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential.

Languages Preferred: Some knowledge of the other NATO language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: 1,477.30 Euro (EUR) Monthly Reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.
