Overview
The Senior Partnerships Officer supports the Bangladesh Country Program by managing a partnership portfolio to ensure high quality and compliant programming, effective sub-grants management, and building strong, sustainable partners.
Tasks Summary
- Coordinate the daily management of the sub-award lifecycle and invest in sustainable growth and capacity of partners.
- Promote and apply the IRC Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (PEERS).
- Facilitate and document systematic partner feedback, challenges, recommendations, and learnings.
- Contribute to stakeholder analysis, partner scoping, and partner onboarding.
- Coordinate and assist the pre-award due diligence process for new sub-awards.
- Identify and implement appropriate risk management measures.
- Assist in resolving local partners’ issues at the field level.
- Plan, coordinate, and organize joint compliance monitoring and partnership review workshops.
- Support the drafting of partnership agreements/amendments and other partnership documents.
- Liaise with the finance team for timely fund transfers to partners.
- Support IRC and partner teams in local liaison and coordination with external stakeholders.
- Support the technical team in organizing Partnership Project Opening, Review, and Closing Meetings.
- Continuously update the partnership tracker.
- Collaborate with IRC departments to identify opportunities for partner capacity strengthening.
- Support the delivery of capacity strengthening plans for partners.
- Support partners in the proposal development process.
- Support partners in finding proper solutions and mitigation measures to challenges.
- Track progress of individual partner’s capacity strengthening/support plan.
- Coordinate and organize learning events, providing mentoring and coaching.
- Support and coordinate the resourcing of partners organizational development.
- Facilitate and document participatory organizational development processes.
- Identify opportunities for IRC to facilitate and promote learning among local actors.
- Collaborate with technical coordinators on technical capacity sharing.
- Ensure IRC understands and addresses partners’ capacity strengthening priorities.
- Promote a culture of mutual learning and good partnership principles among IRC staff.
- Adapt and improve the quality of existing capacity sharing tools.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in (I)NGO in humanitarian or development programs
- Experience working with USG, FCDO, ECHO and other European donors preferred
- Demonstrated experience in partners and/or grants management
- Experience in tracking agreed plans with multiple sectors
- Experience using various project management tools
- Demonstrable understanding of project planning and project cycle management
