Overview

Conducts comprehensive social intervention assessments and develops care plans for individuals and families in need. Provides social support and psycho-social counselling, and facilitates referrals to external services.

Tasks Summary

• Conducts comprehensive social intervention assessment for individuals and families.
• Develops individual social intervention care plans.
• Provides social support including psycho-social counselling.
• Identifies need for referral to other UNRWA services and/or external agencies and facilitates referrals.
• Documents all casework promptly and carefully.
• Maintains accurate records of all cases using relevant social intervention databases.
• Facilitates and supports community-based initiatives and activities.
• Maintains good working relations with various partners and stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Experience Requirements

At least three years' experience in providing social work, psycho-social support or counselling in developmental /humanitarian programmes in governmental, non- governmental or NGOs organizations is required.

Qualification Requirements

University degree in social work, sociology, psychology, guidance and counseling or other related discipline
