Overview

The incumbent will conduct social intervention assessments, provide social support and counselling, and facilitate referrals to other services. The role also involves supporting community-based initiatives and maintaining relations with partners and stakeholders.

Tasks Summary

• Conducts comprehensive social intervention assessment for individuals and families.
• Develops individual social intervention care plans.
• Provides social support including psycho-social counselling.
• Identifies and facilitates referrals to other UNRWA services and/or external agencies.
• Documents all casework promptly and carefully.
• Maintains accurate records of all cases.
• Facilitates and supports community-based initiatives and activities.
• Maintains good working relations with various partners and stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Experience Requirements

At least three years' experience in providing social work, psycho-social support or counselling in developmental /humanitarian programmes in governmental, - non- governmental or NGOs organizations is required.

Qualification Requirements

University degree in social work, sociology, psychology, guidance and counseling or other related discipline

Remuneration: LDC(Band D Step 1) monthly basic salary ranges JOD (781.40)
