Overview
The Building Services Associate coordinates Building Management Unit activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services to internal customers. The role involves managing service requests, monitoring service providers, and overseeing vehicle management.
Tasks Summary
- - Oversee all service requests for the unit, distributing work.
- - Monitor contracted service providers and recommend corrective actions.
- - Support the supervisor in purchasing items and services for building maintenance.
- - Prepare and support the organisation of events and receptions.
- - Manage, maintain, and control official vehicles.
- - Supervise and direct staff in building management, mail, stationery, and warehouse management.
- - Handle transportation to and from various locations.
- - Support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, verifying, storing, and shipping equipment and materials.
- - Prepare requisitions and ensure purchase orders are issued.
- - Support the work of the Mail and Stationary Unit.
- - Determine planning and delivery schedules.
- - Oversee the performance of service providers.
- - Verify invoices for accuracy.
- - Issue requisitions and perform receipts in UNHCR ERP system MSRP.
- - Support risk identification and management.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
- Experience in support services with exposure to building maintenance, financial management, logistics and procurement.
- Familiarity with ERP system supply chain and financials.
- Experience in supervision and management of staff.
- Knowledge of local area building management’s vendors and service providers highly desirable.
- Experience in liaison with a wide range of suppliers of goods and services.
