Overview
The Senior Communication Associate provides administrative, logistical, and operational support to the Communications team, contributing to daily communication outputs and digital operations.
Tasks Summary
- Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support.
- Manage correspondence, filing systems, and record-keeping.
- Support scheduling, meeting coordination, and minute preparation.
- Maintain tracking systems for communication requests and deliverables.
- Support initiation, tracking, and processing of payments.
- Assist in preparation and administration of contracts and purchase requests.
- Maintain records of contracts, payments, and expenditures.
- Liaise with Finance, Supply, and Administration units.
- Support organization of meetings, workshops, and events.
- Assist with travel arrangements and logistical planning.
- Coordinate with field offices to support communication activities.
- Support daily running of social media platforms and upload cleared content.
- Support day-to-day management of social media accounts.
- Support regular updating of the organization’s website.
- Maintain content logs and posting trackers.
- Provide operational support during online campaigns.
- Participate in selected field missions to support communication activities.
- Assist in documenting human interest stories and field narratives.
- Collect quotes, observations, and background information from the field.
- Ensure documentation adheres to ethical standards and consent requirements.
- Provide cross-cutting operational and logistical support.
- Support coordination with internal sections and external partners.
Experience Requirements
- A university degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience, or a school diploma with a minimum of six years of relevant experience in administrative, secretarial, or operational support roles.
- Experience supporting payments, contracts, logistics, or event organization is required.
- Prior experience supporting social media platforms, website updates, or digital content management is an advantage.
- Exposure to field work or basic documentation is an asset.
