Overview
The Operations Assistant supports the implementation of data collection, monitoring, and information management activities for IOM Guatemala's Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM). The role acts as an operational link between the central Information Management team and field staff, coordinating and supervising enumerators.
Tasks Summary
- Coordinate daily field data collection activities, ensuring coverage, quality, and operational targets.
- Supervise field staff performance and application of DTM tools.
- Manage administrative and financial processes related to operations.
- Organize and deliver technical and operational trainings for enumerators.
- Monitor the quality, consistency, and completeness of collected information.
- Prepare and submit periodic operational reports.
- Plan and manage logistics for field activities.
- Process and maintain up-to-date access permits for operational points.
- Safeguard the condition and use of movable assets and equipment.
- Maintain fluid communication with the Information Management Officer and technical team.
- Apply and enforce security, ethical, and humanitarian principles.
- Identify operational gaps and propose improvements to field processes.
- Support research, monitoring, and analytical activities related to DTM.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements
- Three years of proven previous experience in similar processes.
- Three years of experience in information‑gathering processes.
- Knowledge of the national territory (departments and municipalities).
- Experience in team supervision/management.
- Experience in monitoring is considered an asset.
Qualification Requirements
Complete high school education.
