Senior Assistant (Facility Management and Planning)

Overview

Support the effective operations of buildings and facilities, ensuring compliance and safety, and plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Tasks Summary

• Support the effective operations of buildings and facilities, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage vendor-provided services (hard and soft, e.g., maintenance, catering).
• Place and track purchase orders and deliverables to ensure project and schedule compliance.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and oversee repairs and upgrades.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure system longevity.
• Execute infrastructure upgrades and space planning initiatives.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years of post-related experience with higher vocational training in a relevant discipline.
• 4 years of post-related experience with a secondary educational qualification.
• Hands-on general maintenance experience with building systems, including HVAC maintenance, fire safety systems, security, and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance processes (scheduled inspections, maintenance records).
• Familiarity with building codes and standards.

Qualification Requirements

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline.
• Secondary educational qualification.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Languages Preferred: • Portuguese language skills.

Contract Duration: 5-year contract
