Overview

Support the planning and implementation of UNICEF Lao PDR’s Education Programme to tackle key challenges in Foundational Learning and Skills Development for children and adolescents.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide technical and operational support to the Education Programme in Foundational Learning and Skills Development.
  • Support planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring, and reporting of programme activities.
  • Contribute to capacity building of teachers and school leaderships, accelerating foundational learning and school drop-out prevention.
  • Contribute to data and evidence generation and use, as well as knowledge management in the education sector.
  • Contribute to enhancing education sector coordination and collaboration of key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to other Programme related tasks as appropriate.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing adolescents and youth focused programmes in Southeast or South Asia.
  • Training in gender equality, with solid knowledge of GBV and intersections between CSE, GBV, and AY SRH.
  • Strong understanding of social and gender norms and programming to address harmful practices, particularly Child, Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and out of the box approaches to mainstream adolescent and youth development and engagement at community level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; experienced in working collaboratively with diverse partners.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and adapt in challenging environments, including within multicultural teams of international and national personnel.
  • Solid computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet use, and familiarity with database management and office technology tools.
  • Highly self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision; capable of managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
Qualification Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Social Science, International Development and other related areas

Remuneration: • Volunteer Living Allowance: USD 2.654,55 • Family Allowance • Entry Lumsum: USD 3.500.00/First entry • Exit Lumsum • Health & Life Insurance
