Overview
The National Communication Expert - Digital Content will provide expertise on integrated digital content creation and dissemination, serving as the focal point for AI-powered software tools and hardware equipment to support production stages.
Tasks Summary
- Provide expert guidance on the production cycle of multimedia and digital content.
- Advise on conceptualizing and shaping creative assets for advocacy campaigns, humanitarian response, programme milestones, and donor visibility.
- Maintain expert-level understanding of content sensitivities, storytelling nuances, and AI-powered multimedia tools.
- Draft and refine captions, scripts, taglines, and short narratives for social media and web use.
- Provide timely digital communication support during emergencies.
- Provide expert advice on digital content production requirements for events.
- Serve as the focal point for the digital asset management platform WeShare and SharePoint.
- Curate, upload, tag, organize, and quality-check multimedia assets.
- Ensure adherence to UNICEF standards for design, consent, captions, and metadata.
- Coordinate emergency uploads and support time-sensitive content delivery.
- Provide expertise on managing programme sections in collecting content inputs and multimedia materials.
- Support skills development in content production and digital asset management.
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, groups, and individuals.
- Participate in and support local volunteering initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional work experience in digital communication, social media management, multimedia content production, or related areas, if the candidate has an MA degree.
- More than 10 years' experience is needed, in lieu of an MA degree.
- Experience producing content for high-visibility digital content is required.
- Experience with digital advocacy, content planning, analytics, or influencer engagement is an asset.
- Experience in UN or development organizations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Master's degree in or equivalent in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Development Communication, Marketing, Political Science, Social Studies, Humanities, or related fields.
