International Consultant - Leather Regional Trade Shows - MARKUP

Overview

The consultant will support MARKUP beneficiary companies in expanding into new markets at regional and international levels, and foster stronger linkages between European and African investors and the EAC.

Tasks Summary

• Identification and selection of a regional leather trade fair.
• Selection of companies ready to exhibit.
• Pre-show, exhibition, and post-show coaching for companies.
• Buyers outreach to mobilise international and African brands.
• Reporting on actions taken, results, data, and impacts from the show.
• Identification and mobilisation of African and European companies for investment and collaboration.
• Identification of European and African companies interested in technology transfer.
• Compilation of findings from the event in a report.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
• Experience in Textile, garment and leather manufacturing industry and trade.
• Excellent understanding of the leather goods markets in East Africa, Europe and US markets.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in manufacturing business (fashion, garment and leather industries).

Qualification Requirements

• Postgraduate degree (MA/MSc/MBA, PHD or other) in Business administration, management, economics, fashion and leather.
• Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree.
