Overview

The Directorate-General for Energy is seeking an Administrative Support Agent to provide administrative, secretarial, and logistical assistance within Unit B.2. The role supports the Head of Unit, deputy Head of Unit, and policy officers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a wide range of internal procedures, including document management, attributions and monitoring of deadlines.
  • Provide logistical arrangements for meetings and events.
  • Handle preparations and reimbursements for missions.
  • Manage Commission internal tools such as ARES, DECIDE, MIPS+, Themis, AGM and SYSPER.
Required Experience
  • Appropriate professional experience of at least three years (if secondary education diploma is held).
  • Very good knowledge of the administrative procedures of the Commission is an important advantage.
Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education.
Other Details
Languages Required
• A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU. • A satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties. • Very good command of English is essential.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of French or other languages would be an additional asset.
Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.
Work Modality
The place of employment will be Brussels
Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The recruitment grade will be calculated based on the qualifications and the number of years of professional experience.
