Overview
Support the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of WFP’s database systems, maintaining high standards of data integrity and implementing database best practices.
Tasks Summary
- Develop, test, and maintain database components, stored procedures, scripts, automation processes, and data models.
- Design and optimize database schemas.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve database performance or functional issues.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes.
- Respond to user requests and offer technical assistance.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing database migration activities.
- Implement backup, rollback, and disaster-recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Experience Requirements
At least six (6) years of professional experience in one or more of the following: database development, database administration, data engineering, data analysis, or software development with strong exposure to bulk data processing.
Qualification Requirements
Completion of secondary school education. University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or any related field.
