Overview

The incumbent will coordinate and guide Information Technology maintenance and support activities to enable the effective delivery of IT services. They will provide technical support for ICT initiatives and support the preparation, configuration, and deployment of end-user devices.

Tasks Summary
  • Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor technology reliability, identify user needs, analyze data and produce accurate reports.
  • Resolve queries independently.
  • Provide standard technical training to end users.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues.
  • Support the co-ordination of new application implementation.
  • Draft standard material such as end-user and technical documentation.
  • Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT division.
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate a team of IT staff.
  • Follow set emergency response processes and procedures.
Experience Requirements
  • At least six (6) years of professional experience in IT support, system administration infrastructure and networking management.
  • Experience analyzing IT service performance and developing recommendations to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting ICT activities related to operational projects with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement or budgeting processes.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and operational pressures.
  • Experience conducting IT hardware and infrastructure assessments and ensuring compliance with organizational IT standards and guidelines is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or delivering IT projects in collaboration with government ministries or other national stakeholders.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school education.
  • A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French language is an added advantage.
