Overview
Provide construction and engineering expertise to contribute to efficient delivery and quality outputs. Supervise daily construction activities and coordinate with contractors.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the implementation of WFP engineering Policies, standards, norms and practices.
- Provide engineering and project management services.
- Supervise daily construction activities.
- Coordinate with contractor and conduct QA/QC checks.
- Monitor and report field construction activities.
- Track material usage, verify deliveries, and prevent wastage.
- Maintain a daily site log.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Identify construction issues early and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all site workers follow health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ensure that all completed works are inspected, approved, and documented.
- Contribute towards the analysis of project proposal.
- Participate in technical design, review, exchange of knowledge and experience.
- Perform other tasks as required by immediate Supervisor.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience.
- Has worked effectively under supervision on a number of varied design and construction projects and taken responsibility for work elements which have been assigned.
- Knowledge of motorcycle riding and possession of a valid motorcycle license will be considered an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
- First University degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- Hold or be eligible for Accreditation to “ Professional Engineer ” or “ Chartered Engineer ” status or recognized equivalent by an appropriate national or international regulatory authority.
