Overview

Provide technical and administrative support to the implementation of counter smuggling and trafficking activities, and contribute to other activities within the PXD portfolio.

Tasks Summary
  • Coordinate project implementation and monitor activities.
  • Support planning, preparation, and implementation of counter smuggling and trafficking activities.
  • Research, compile, analyze, and present information on migration developments.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and maintain financial records.
  • Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical aspects of the project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct capacity building workshops.
  • Facilitate development of key messages and coordinate awareness-raising sessions.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate preparation of correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure visibility and communication of project activities.
  • Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to reporting staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • School diploma with seven years of relevant experience; or,
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Previous experience in managing a group of volunteers for community outreach on irregular migration.
  • Experience in facilitating the development of key messages for peer-to-peer messaging and coordinating awareness raising activities on the risks associated with irregular migration.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements

• School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.

Other Details

Languages Required: Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is required.

Languages Preferred: Working Knowledge of French is desirable.

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
