Overview

Leads the Architecture & Engineering functions within the ICT Executive Directorate, managing the Engineering Team and the Solution Design Competency Centre to ensure engineering excellence and innovation.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide strategic leadership to Engineering and Solution Design teams.
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment, performance, and professional development.
  • Lead the design, delivery, and lifecycle management of cloud-ready and hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
  • Oversee DevOps platform evolution and ensure secure-by-design implementation.
  • Develop security and IAM architecture.
  • Provide senior technical leadership across programmes.
  • Ensure robust deployment, integration, and incident prevention processes.
  • Define and implement the engineering operating model.
  • Translate organizational strategies into engineering roadmaps and KPIs.
  • Govern engineering standards, policies, and quality assurance mechanisms.
  • Manage the engineering portfolio.
  • Lead the Solution Design Competency Centre.
  • Provide oversight for solution architecture of new products and services.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of shared enterprise platforms.
  • Define and maintain the Organization’s ICT architecture principles and standards.
  • Lead ICT architecture governance processes.
  • Act as a strategic interface between engineering, architecture, operations, and business units.
Experience Requirements

Minimum of eight years of professional experience in a field relevant to IT Technology and Engineering, including demonstrated experience managing diverse teams in a multicultural environment. Proven track record in team leadership and technical management. Experience in planning, developing, and coordinating complex activities with a high degree of autonomy.

Qualification Requirements

At least five years completed university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in a relevant field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Proficiency in another official language of the Organization (Arabic, French, Spanish) would be an asset.
