Overview
Secretary position to assist the Chief Technology Officer and Unit CTO.1 within the Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP) of the European Commission. The role involves ensuring smooth administrative operations and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- - Efficiently manage the Director’s diary and schedule.
- - Screen and prioritize incoming telephone calls and correspondence.
- - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings and prepare documentation.
- - Manage office supplies and make travel arrangements.
- - Assist with HR recruitment processes and personnel administration for the unit.
- - Ensure follow-ups to keep up deadlines for any briefing or other submissions.
- - Support logistical arrangements for European Competition Network working groups, training sessions or other meetings.
- - Act as a back-up to other administrative personnel in budgetary and financial matters.
Required Experience
- Candidates should have prior experience in administrative roles.
- Experience assisting in a high-level management setting would be a plus.
- Familiarity with Commission ICT tools as well as a solid understanding of administrative, financial, and personnel procedures, would be an advantage.
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
