Overview

The Protection analysis specialist will be responsible to lead the analysis of protection quantitative and qualitative data to develop narrative reports and visual representations. The role will also support program development and fundraising efforts.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis for DRC ALT.
  • Develop data collection methodologies and tools.
  • Code and label variables for qualitative analysis.
  • Analyze quantitative data from protection monitoring and other initiatives.
  • Develop narrative reports and visualize data, including infographics.
  • Collect and store relevant information from secondary resources.
  • Contribute to internal briefing notes, Snapshots, and ad hoc reports.
  • Train relevant DRC partners staff on data collection methodologies and tools.
  • Support fundraising by providing inputs to concept notes and proposals.
  • Support the team with other tasks related to protection programming.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a research or academic context.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of protection in humanitarian settings is essential.
  • Experience in creating information management products is expected.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring research products and outputs is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience using qualitative analysis software would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current mixed migration debates and dynamics in the region is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with international NGOs is an asset.
