Enumerator (Bioinformatics)

Overview

The Enumerator (Bioinformatics) will support national programmes in the Ministry of Health by collecting and verifying sequencing-related metadata for Whole Genome Sequencing curation in the national database and supporting high-throughput sequencing pipelines.

Tasks Summary

• Support the collection, organization, and verification of sequencing-related metadata and analytical outputs.
• Assist in curating and organizing laboratory and sequencing metadata.
• Record and verify sequencing data attributes and laboratory batch information.
• Support data entry and formatting to ensure compatibility with bioinformatics pipelines.
• Perform initial quality checks of metadata files prior to analysis.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data handling procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams and ensure data quality assurance.
• Collaborate with laboratory and data teams to resolve discrepancies in sample identifiers or metadata linkage.
• Maintain updated logs of sequencing runs and associated sample information.
• Complete any additional data-related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Biology, Statistics, Psychology, Social Science, Life-science or equivalent field.
