Overview

Leads the Mine Action programme in Colombia, developing strategy, coordinating activities, and mobilizing resources. The role involves monitoring programme performance and engaging with national authorities.

Tasks Summary
  • - Develops strategy, workplan, and leads resource mobilization for the Mine Action programme.
  • - Leads strategic and operational planning and coordination with UN entities.
  • - Monitors programme and implementing partner performance against indicators and standards.
  • - Leads engagement with national authorities involved in Mine Action.
  • - Researches, analyzes, and presents information.
  • - Coordinates policy development and conducts research activities.
  • - Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data on programme evolution.
  • - Organizes and prepares written outputs such as strategy papers and reports.
  • - Provides substantive backstopping to meetings and conferences.
  • - Initiates and coordinates outreach activities and conducts training.
  • - Leads and/or participates in programme/project field missions.
  • - Coordinates activities related to budget funding and preparation of related documents.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in programme management in mine action, security sector reform, stabilization or humanitarian in a conflict or post-conflict setting is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a managerial role in a conflict or post-conflict setting is required.
  • A minimum of two years of direct experience in engaging with senior government officials in a complex humanitarian setting is required.
  • Experience in resource mobilization and fundraising is required.
Qualification Requirements

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, international relations, public administration or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
