Overview
Responsible for contributing to the technical viability and environmental soundness of proposed country programmes/strategy, multiyear projects and activities to phase out/down controlled substances. The role involves preparing and following up on progress, reviewing and analyzing data, and preparing relevant documentation.
Tasks Summary
- Review consumption data, technical viability, cost and environmental soundness of incoming projects.
- Prepare comments to agencies to address technical, cost and policy issues.
- Prepare draft pre-session documents on projects reviewed, including recommendations and summaries.
- Prepare worksheets with consumption and cost data and undertake data analysis.
- Review data for annual progress reports, identify implementation delays, and verify data inconsistencies.
- Verify and consolidate information on country programme data, review against Article 7 data, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Extract, review, and validate data from the knowledge management system and extract dashboards.
- Update and implement guidelines for business planning, including reporting formats and monitoring.
- Prepare the list of completed projects with funding balances.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through data visualization methods.
- Prepare presentations related to project documents.
- Participate in meetings of the Executive Committee.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in project/programme management, maintaining and reporting on financial data, or related field is required.
- Experience in developing, analyzing and/or presenting reports and data is required.
- Experience producing financial reports using business intelligence tools to analyze data from an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (such as SAP) is required.
- Experience and knowledge of the Montreal Protocol and sectors supported by the Multilateral Fund is desirable.
- Experience in aspects related to energy efficiency in refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment is desirable.
- Two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in engineering, science, programme management, finance, data analytics, business analytics, data science, statistics or a related field is required. A first-level degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
