Leads the implementation of the IIMM's open source investigation strategy and methodology, including the collection and analysis of open source information, and the development and updating of protocols and procedures. Ensures the accurate and timely production of analytical reports for internal workflows, investigation plans, and sharing packages.
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in open source investigations and analysis is required. At least three years of experience conducting digital open source investigations and analysis involving serious international crimes (such as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes) or serious human rights violations in a national or international criminal investigation body is required. Experience supervising or managing a team of open source researchers or investigators is required. Experience producing and reviewing analytical work products is required. Experience working in open source analysis related to Myanmar is required. Experience training researchers is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in criminology, criminal investigations, computer science, information management, data privacy, conflict or security field, political science, international relations, journalism, law or related field is required. A first-level university degree in one of these fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Languages Required: English is required.
Languages Preferred: Either Burmese or Kachin or Chin or Rakhine or Rohingya or Shan languages is desirable.
