The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for human resources policy development, application and interpretation, workforce planning, recruitment, placement, performance and development, administration of justice and disciplinary matters, and general human resources administration.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, law or public administration is required. A minimum of three years of experience in the full range of human resources management within the United Nations Common system is required. Experience in HR policy design and development is required. Experience advising managers and staff on HR policies and entitlements is required. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Umoja is desirable.
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, human resources management or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Professional certification in Human Resources Management is desirable.
