Overview

The Project Coordinator GCF will be responsible for the overall management of the "Accelerating the Transformational Shift to a Low-Carbon Economy in the Republic of Mauritius" project, ensuring its efficient implementation and achievement of results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Overall management of the project, mobilization of all inputs, supervision of staff, consultants, and sub-contractors.
  • Reporting to the Head of the Environment Unit and periodic reporting to the Project Steering Committee (PSC).
  • Meeting government obligations under the project (NIM modality).
  • Liaison with Government, UNDP, UN Agencies, NGOs, project partners, and donor agencies.
  • Ensures strategic project planning, coordination and implementation.
  • Responsible for effective project management.
  • Ensures effective management of the three components for proper implementation.
  • Responsible for Representation and Coordination.
  • Promotes communication flow in the project.
  • Fosters partnership building and donor liaison.
Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years (Master’s degree) or 7 years (Bachelor’s degree) of relevant working experience in the fields related to the assignment, at national is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration or related field is required, or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
