Overview

The Senior Project Associate will provide programme support to IOM Return and Reintegration Program, coordinating project implementation, monitoring activities, and liaising with stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Independently lead and coordinate the implementation of project components.
  • Monitor implementation of activities and analyze difficulties.
  • Research, compile, analyze and present information/data on developments, reports, and legislation.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and maintain records.
  • Coordinate and monitor financial, administrative, and technical aspects of the project.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building workshops.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the preparation of correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
  • Supervise and provide guidance and training to reporting staff.
  • Perform other related duties including case management and supervision.
Required Experience
  • Seven years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or
  • Five years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Proven analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in project development, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Prior work experience with working with implementing partner organizations is an advantage.
  • Experience in working with migrants, migrants in irregular situation, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups is an asset.
Qualifications
  • School diploma; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
