Overview
The Deputy Physical Rehabilitation Project Manager 1 is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of physical rehabilitation activities within their project(s), ensuring compliance with ICRC standards and promoting a continuum of care approach.
Tasks Summary
- Develops and implements physical rehabilitation projects including social reintegration/inclusion and sport programs.
- Coordinates activities of PRCs to ensure consistency in service provision.
- Ensures continuum of care between health programs and physical rehabilitation services.
- Plans and organizes outreach projects and supervises patient referral programs.
- Maintains a network of contacts with rehabilitation and disability actors.
- Contributes to capacity building activities.
- Conducts disability assessments and maintains an overview of needs.
- Contributes to project design, objective definition, and action plans.
- Supports the implementation of projects by PRP teams.
- Plans and organizes PRP missions of external professionals.
- Ensures accurate data and information collection and contributes to reporting.
- Contributes to the supply system with the PRP Logistics Department.
- Supports the Head of AFG PRP for project costs, staffing needs, and training.
- Champions the inclusion of persons with disabilities in various sectors.
- Ensures PRP recruitment procedures are followed.
- Partakes in the residentialization process of the PRP and staff empowerment.
- Supports PRC Managers to oversee facility and equipment maintenance.
Experience Requirements
- 6 years' relevant field experience with the ICRC or other humanitarian organization.
- Ideally, previous health project management experience.
Qualification Requirements
- Degree in physiotherapy or prosthetics/orthotics (with recognized certification).
- Advanced degree in public health or project management an asset.
