Technical Officer to support the National Tobacco Control Strategy

Overview

To support the finalization of Djibouti’s National Tobacco Control Strategy, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and preparing materials for its official launch.

Tasks Summary

• Review and finalize the National Tobacco Control Strategy document.
• Engage, consult, and incorporate feedback from relevant sectors.
• Prepare all necessary materials for the official launch of the National Tobacco Control Strategy.
• Support the Ministry of Health in organizing the launch event.
• Support the MoH to revise the multi-sectoral committee.
• Support the MoH to prepare the supporting documents for the ratification of the protocol.
• Submit a final report summarizing the work conducted.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in tobacco control policy development or public health strategy.
• Familiarity with the WHO FCTC, MPOWER and global best practices in tobacco control.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Higher degree in Public Health, or Policy Development in tobacco control, or a related field.
